We have created and implemented a full 3D product pipe line, using our innovative methods and technology, achieving stunning 3D visualizations of complex, difficult-to-model objects. By doing so we control thousands of products whose colors, textures, light-reflective qualities, density, and general material qualities mimic their real-object counterparts in photo-realistic detail. The virtual products are viewable from multiple angles and distances, both independently and on scale models, and are highly customizable.

In the last couple of years advances in hardware opened the door for virtual reality. The same goes for the smart phone industry, finally allowing them to present high resolution 3D models in vivid detail. To achieve full immersion, a feeling that you are “some ware else”, involves combining numerous technologies. We create real life experiences for the e-commerce market by combining state of the art headsets with low-latency constellation tracking systems, “Unreal Engine” (a real time renderer), Leap motion (hand tracking system) that 3D scans hands and hand gestures, allowing the user to see and use his/her actual hands in the virtual world.

Knowing when to use real life photography, pure CGI or a combination of both relies on years of production experience and knowledge gained through problem solving in the field. CGI combined with still life photography has been around for many years. We have been combining them for over two decades, from editorial to commercials. Our extensive knowledge of combining the two, comes from endless experimentation, allowing us to build methods that fuse them together perfectly.

The secret to combining CGI with still life lays on mimicking the exact same specifications from the live shot in to a 3D environment. By using the same camera, lens and angle in the virtual set, we place the “actor” perfectly into the correct position. In addition, we create a HDRI (High Dynamic Range Imaging) file from a “chrome ball” that we place in the live set during the “shoot”, making sure that the lighting conditions are exactly the same in “both worlds”. Our models also include colors, textures, reflective qualities and densities that mimic the real Items with photorealistic details.

By working with Brio Animation there is no more need for any real product to be on set – it’s already done. Flexibility in changing the item in the image at any time, even long after the photo was taken, and still be able to perfectly combine them together. You have full control of brightness, highlights and reflections which you don’t get in real life. You save time by not using the actual product. Sometimes creating certain images cannot be done in real life, but using a real background combined with CG elements can produce an outstanding image.
